Noah Kahan's Stick Season Tour made a stop in Jacksonville, FL and brought the fall weather along with it. Fans arrived decked out in plaid shirts and boots and personified the theme of the Stick Season EP. The night began with Noah taking the stage with his song "Northern Attitude" and I instantly knew it was going to be a special night. I have never heard a crowd sing so loud!
Noah's connection with the audience was immediate. He shared personal stories between songs, making everyone feel like they were sitting around a bonfire hanging out while he played.
One standout moment of the night came during Noah's performance of "Orange Juice". As he sang the anthemic chorus, the crowd's voices joined him in unison, creating an electrifying atmosphere. Every singe person in the crowd turned their phone flashlights on and held an orange paper over it to illuminate the arena in an orange light for the song. Noah seemed genuinely surprised and touched by the act. But perhaps the most memorable moment of the night came unexpectedly. During the performance of "She Calls Me Back", Noah lost his balance and took a fall on stage. Instead of letting embarrassment take over, he embraced the mishap with humor and grace, quickly getting back on his feet. The crowd erupted in laughter and applause, turning an awkward moment into a charming and endearing one that he joked about throughout the rest of the show. Noah's ability to roll with the punches only endeared him further to the audience.
Noah closed the night with encore performances of "Stick Season" and "Homesick", leaving the crowd in awe and feeling a sense of unity. The Stick Season Tour was more than just a concert; it was a journey through Noah Kahan's life which is reflected in his songwriting, and it left a lasting impression on everyone who was lucky enough to be there.
